Spoke with Susie about her week in Vera Beach.  She said she met many amazing women golfers and they were all so happy to just be there.  The USGA organizers kept them busy but her adrenalin kept her going most of the time.  Asked about the biggest challenge of the rounds, she said the 170 yard forced carries with water everywhere (and we know Susie hits it long).  Next year the tournament is in Iowa and we hope to see Susie  (and maybe more members) trying again.

From a Previous post: On September 17, at Vero Beach Country Club, Susie Keane (our OWGA President) qualified for the U.S Senior Women’s Amateur to be held October 6 –11 at Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club in Vera Beach. There were fourteen different locations for qualifying across the United States over the last three weeks. Susie tied for third in the Florida qualifying.  Fox News will be televising the Championship.  It’s less than a two hour drive from Orlando. Just saying.
Congratulations to Susie. What an accomplishment.
