Day 2 of the three day match play tournament is in the books. Sunny skies and warm weather greeted our players at Alaqua CC.  In the eight flights competing in the tournament, there is a tight race going into the last day of play. The slightest of leads  of one half point is the margin between the two leading teams in the first flight, while other flights are leading by one and half points to as few as four points.

The last day of the tournament will be held at Reunion Palmer. The best is certainly yet to come. Thanks to all for supporting this one of a kind tournament in our schedule of play.

The OWGA second major tournament of the season, Team Match Play, got off to a soggy start. The first day of play at Interlachen was rained out, so the first day of the tournament became Mission Inn.

The day began with cart path only and cloudy skies. By the end of the day, the sky was shining and so were some of the team scores that were achieved on the course. With eight flights competing over a three day period play, day one saw some tightly fought matches within the 60 player field. Two matches went to extra holes to determine winners, while other matches came down to the 18th hole.

The second day of the tournament resumes on Tuesday February 5 at Alaqua. There is still plenty of golf to be played. Good luck to all!!
