The Putting Award focuses on the player’s ability to get the ball in the hole once her ball is on the green. This award is given to the OWGA member with the lowest average putts per round over the course of the full season. Here’s how it rolls:

  • Entry is automatic for all members.
  • Putting totals from at least five (5) playdays are required to be considered for OWGA Putting Champion.
  • The member records her total putts for playdays, with the exception of any team event (ie: Play prior to the four (4) General Business Meetings; the Team Match Play Tournament; Any Member / Member event.)
  • Out of all of the putts recorded, only the lowest five (5) plays will be averaged to determine the member’s average number of putts per round.
  • At the end of the season, the member with the lowest average putts per round will be the season’s OWGA Putting Champion.
  • The prize for winning this award is a dollar amount determined each season and possession of the OWGA Putting Championship trophy for the following season. The dollars awarded are included in the payout at the end of the season.
